Marguerite Deslauriers attended a conference, Rethinking Philosophy’s Past 1300-1800, February 17-18, where she presented a paper, “Using and Disputing Authority in the 16th Century” as part of a panel on Education and Women’s Epistemic Authority, 1500-1800. The event was organized by Christia Mercer, Gustave M. Berne Professor of Philosophy at Columbia University, with the support of the Department of Philosophy and the Center for Science and Society.
