Digital Analysis: Coming Soon!

For this project, we are applying techniques in computational stylometrics to better understand the relationship between texts in our collection. Stylometrics allows us to study the intersections of language, both intertextually and semantically, at a much broader scale than has traditionally been the case in philosophy. This entails thinking in terms of a broader distribution of vocabulary beyond a few keywords as well as in terms of a greater overall number of texts to be considered. Our aim is to explore the extent to which new tools in computational text analysis and natural language processing can be applied to philosophical questions and to feminist approaches to the history of philosophy.
